  Bad Behavior in Field Service

  being raised in the 'truth', i obviously spent much of my youth in service.

  of course, as we got older, my friends and i would act the fool in service as much as possible.

  we used to use the names of popular rap artists with the old farts we called on.

  Well, I never done anything too bad - I was such a good lad !! I think the worst we done was bugger off from service to check the swell and sort out our plans for the dawny surf on Sunday morning.....with a reg. pioneer. (Those pioneers knew all the tricks !!) Then we'd sit through the PT and WT tired, but stoked off ours heads. Or we'd motion across the hall to each other (there were quite a few surfers in the cong.) about where it'd be breaking the best or where the swell would be getting in for after the beeting meeting

  Why don't elders drop off the mags?

  why is it that there is no arrangement for 'faders' and those who stop going to meetings to at least keep getting the magazines.

  why don't the local elders or pioneers even bother to drop them in our letterboxes?

  it amazes me how much time is devoted to methodically cold-calling with magazines in the door-to-door work, but no methodical arrangement exists for inactive ones.

  I refused to preach on Xmas Day, and New Year's - purely because I felt it wrong to hassle people in the "world" on their special day..Strangely enough, so did Dad...I know the main Elder in the cong' had no trouble with it though.....

  the fact that in the very beginning god created man and then woman and placed them in the garden of eden, then he told them that they could partake of all the fruits from the trees but that they shouldnt touch his tree.

  the tree of knowledgethat is like putting cookies in front of a kid and telling them that they cant eat them.

  then he allowed satan to speak to eve (through the serpent) and convince her to eat and then she would know all that was good and bad.

  Nope, he has not set us up for failure. Nor does Satan inspire all the evil in the world. Why ? Because neither of them exist. Humans fail due to their own inadequacies, as evolution progresses we will find our knowledge and abilities increasing and changing.

  The notion of God and Satan exist because of Man's inability to accept responsibility for his fuck-up's, and inability to cultivate the neccessary self-belief that things can be achieved or overcome purely by one's/society's own skills and strength.
